About us

Cybec Foundation was established in 2002, by Roger and Patricia Riordan, to foster their vision of a world in which people live and work in communities that naturally help and support each other to be the best they can be.

Completely independent and self-funded, Cybec does this by providing social wellbeing initiatives and emerging talent with the opportunity and the means to make a positive difference. We provide support to a diverse range of recipients including scholarships for students, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples health and education, medical research, environmental projects, artistic endeavours and social welfare programs.

Applications for funding can be made by anyone at any time, but preference is given to those applications that are unable to secure funding elsewhere. 

At Cybec, we take a personal interest in our beneficiaries and welcome them as ongoing members of the Cybec Community. Our community is one that understands that people in positions of advantage have an obligation to help others. We hope everyone in our community will seek opportunities to ‘pay it forward’ and, little by little, contribute to the better and fairer society that Roger and Patricia envisaged all those years ago.
