Cassandra McLean Memorial Scholarship

Burnley College at the University of Melbourne has been a centre for teaching and research in urban horticulture since 1891. Dr Cassandra McLean was a Senior Lecturer at Burnley College who worked on problems relating to the propagation of native plants and, in 2006, Cybec Foundation agreed to fund a scholarship for a research student in this area.

Sadly, in 2009 Dr McLean succumbed to breast cancer and the scholarship was renamed the Cassandra McLean Memorial Scholarship in recognition of her academic achievements and her courageous fight against overwhelming odds.
