Oodgeroo Scholarship
The Oodgeroo Scholarships were established by Trinity College with the support of Cybec Foundation in honour of Oodgeroo of the tribe Noonucal (1920–92). Oodgeroo (formerly known as Kath Walker) was a distinguished Australian poet. This scholarship is awarded to academically strong Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander undergraduate or postgraduate students who will make a positive contribution to the Trinity College community.
The success of the initial scholarships led to the scheme being expanded, and now there are about 30 places for aboriginal students, approximately 10% of the residential college, of which several are funded by Cybec Foundation.
