The Urology Department at the Royal Melbourne Hospital provide a comprehensive urological service and also provide urological expertise to the neighbouring Royal Women’s Hospital and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Their team includes consultant urologists, fellows, a registrar, residents, interns and a specialist urology nursing team that, in combination, provide specialised clinical services for all adult urological conditions including urological cancers, stone disease and continence problems.

In 2000, Cybec Foundation became interested in research work being conducted by the Urology Department under the leadership of Professor Anthony Costello and decided to support two post-graduate research projects.
